Swimming is an interesting sport with a lot of benefits as we had highlighted on our previous post about the benefits of swimming. If you have not tried swimming before, kindly consider trying it this year.
How do you prepare for your swimming sessions? We would like to share five essentials things to carry for your swimming sessions.
1. SWIMWEAR This is the most basic thing to always consider before going for any session. These may include shorts, leggins, bikinis and swimming caps for those with long hair, swimming caps not only prevent your hair from water but they also reduce DRAG( the resistance that water exerts on your body as you move through it).
2.TOWEL This is one of the must haves when going for swimming because it helps you in drying off as soon as possible. At Decathlon Kenya, we have a variety of towels for you including a quick-drying microfiber towel as pictured below.
3.TOILETRIES It is important to always remember carry your shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, moisturizer or any that you may need because of most swimming pools contain chlorine and other chemicals that might leave your skin and hair dry.
4. ROBE They are usefull in keeping you warm and covering you up incase you are a little shy or afraid of walking around the pool in your swimsuit.
5.GOOGLES AND WATER BOTTLE Swimming google comes in handy because they protect your eyes from chlorinated water and also helps in visisbility under water. Lastly do not forget to keep yourself hydrated by carrying a bottle of water.
